J.R.R. Tolkien
JRR Tolkien is a famous English scholar critically acclaimed for his stories of the elves, dwarves, trolls, orcs (goblins) & hobbit that lived a fantasy world know as Middle-Earth. His books ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ series brought fantasy and dreams alive for children and adults alike.
He passed away in 1973, long before he was able to see how popular his books would become as a movie series, but his son Christopher Tolkien followed in his footsteps and still continues work on the middle earth saga. He was also known for his close relationships with prominent writers such as C.S. Lewis.
